Practice

These session are for people who can already ski or snowboard, who are looking to improve or practice before a trip away.

Bowles offers ski coaching as part of most of our open sessions.  There is no need to book open slope sessions, just turn up and pay for as long as you stay for. Boot, ski and snowboard hire is included in the price, but feel free to bring your own.  Open slope times Winter 2017/18

Open sessions

Sessions are for all ages (6+) except for Kids Club which is for 6-15s only.
Sessions are winter only except for Race Club.

Bowles is closed on December 24, 25, 26.

Bowles Ski Race Club

Race club is great for skiers who want to develop their technique with expert coaching. It runs every Friday from 17:30-19:30 all year-round.

Kids Club

A club for under-16’s (ages 6-8 need a parent present). The afternoon’s coaching progresses through ability ranges – new skiers working on speed control, steering and snowploughing should come earlier in the afternoon, ideally in time to start at 1pm, this enables them to practise and get a few tips when the slope is quieter, more confident or advanced skiers should come after 3.00pm.

What ability level do I need to be?

For all of these sessions, skiers should be able to stop and turn under control and snowboarders should be able to do a ‘falling leaf’. If you’re not quite up to this level, why not book a course or a private lesson.

Prices

Open Sessions cost £8 per hour (£7 for under-16s), apart from Kids Club (£6 per hour) and Race Club (£8 per session). You can also ski all morning at our Tuesday and Thursday Coffee Club for only £16.

All skiers and boarders need to sign the membership book on each visit and accept responsibility for their own safety. Under 18’s need the membership book signed by a parent or guardian.
